Turre is our closest town, just 5km away, midway between El Cortijo Grande and Mojacar. Whilst Vera is the administrative centre of the area, the valley lies in the municipality of Turre and receives support from its town hall (Ayuntamiento) for public services.

Turre has its own special identity with a small selection of Spanish shops and restaurants. It continues on its timeless pattern celebrating annual fiestas and local competitions with great enthusiasm, whilst warmly welcoming residents and visitors from other European countries.
