Cabo de Gata Natural Park sees more than 2000 pink flamingos arrive in August every year

Almeria province with its unspoilt coastline, high mountain ranges and national parks provides an overwhelming sense of space and offers an exciting world to be explored. Of particular interest to visitors is Cabo de Gata Natural Park which is Andalucia's largest protected coastal region.

Mountain ranges here have a volcanic appearance with sharp peaks and crags. They fall sharply into the sea creating jagged cliffs and small hidden coves with white sand beaches. Saltflats and a 4km lagoon attract pink flamingos and 100s of other species of birds.
